This qualification is aimed at individuals working in, or preparing to work in, any industry that involves the retail sale of alcohol. These industries can include pubs, retailers, large nightclubs, cafés, restaurants, hotels and sports facilities.
Anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises must hold a personal licence. To become a personal licence holder, an individual should obtain a regulated personal licence holder’s qualification.
A personal licence allows the holder to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol. A personal licence is also needed to apply to become a designated premises supervisor (DPS). Licensed premises can have more than one personal licence holder. This course is certified by Highfield Qualifications.

How is this Course Assessed?
With the use of the Highfield e-Learning Portal, we are now able to offer multiple options regards the delivery of this course;
Conventional 1-day classroom-based delivery, including e-assessment exam. We would deliver this to a minimum of 4 learners per class, please contact us if you wish to complete this option.
Online Learning with e-Assessment at our Training Centre – this option entails completion of online-based theory content, with learners attending our training centre in Canterbury to complete their End Assessment. Please choose the “e-Learning Only” option
What do I need to do after completing the course?
Once you have passed the course, you will need to apply to the council (where you live and pay their fee) with a completed DBS (criminal record check, no more than 28 days old), 2 passport photos which are endorsed and the relevant council application form.
Course cost and duration
If your choice of course delivery, is the conventional 1-day classroom-based delivery, including the e-Assessment multiple-choice exam the cost would be £185 per person.
If your choice of course delivery, is online learning with an e-assessment multiple-choice exam at our training centre in Canterbury the cost would be £135 per person
